About


Monica Niger works as medical oncologist at National Cancer Institute Fondazione IRCCS of Milan and is responsible for the management and clinical/translational research of biliary tract cancer and pancreatic cancer at her Institution.

She obtained her medical degree from the University of Milan in 2011 and the specialization in Medical Oncology in 2017 at the University of Milan.

Dr. Niger’s clinical and research interests primarily focus on gastrointestinal malignancies, with a specific emphasis on biliopancreatic cancer. She is actively involved in the clinical management of patients suffering from these aggressive diseases and is dedicated to designing and collaborating in clinical and translational collaborative research projects in this field.

She has co-authored more than 80 publications in international journals and she is full member of Associazione Italiana di Oncologia Medica (AIOM), European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) and European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC).
